Mobile door communication

Mobile door communication

Mobile access: highly encrypted and with new features

Whether on the move or using your home’s WLAN: You can access your door intercom system with iOS and Android smartphones via the DCS IP gateway. The communication is encrypted using Secure Data Access, which is also used in the Gira S1 and guarantees maximum security. The door opening function is additionally protected by means of a PIN.

New features

Early media, group calls and the award-winning Gira interface design ensure that you know who is at the door even when you are not at home. In the first version, images are updated twice a second. Thanks to early media, you can see who is at the door before talking to them. This makes undesired conversations a thing of the past.

New: connect to the camera at any time, even without a door call

New: simply activate or deactivate forwarding to your mobile phone at any time via the app

It is set up in the web browser of the DCS-IP gateway as normal. It is also necessary to register and configure the assignment via the Gira portal. No audio or video files are saved. Thanks to the Gira DCS App, you can view door calls on the mobile end device, talk to the person at the door and, if you want, open the door directly. If the app is not active in the background, for example after the mobile end device has been restarted, the door call will nevertheless reach the user. With push notifications, the user is informed of the incoming door call even when the Gira DCS App is “inactive/closed”. This also increases the battery performance of the mobile end device. There is no need to unlock the device in order to accept a call at the door.
